Ferrules

Where indicated, our ornaments can be used with a ferrule or spindle. A ferrule is used for indoor use on wood poles and a spindle is used for outdoor use on in-ground or wall mounted flag poles. When using an ornament for an indoor aluminum pole with a top adapter already installed, a ferrule or spindle is not required. The exception to the above is the Elks Head Ornament, which is supplied with a threaded rod attached to the bottom of the ornament. A special ferrule for this ornament is available for use with our wooden indoor poles.
